Transition Year (TY) Work Experience Programme

WHAT IS IT?

We facilitate tailored Work Experience programmes for companies and organisations who want to offer Transition Year (TY) students some exposure to their business. We create the registration process, design the activities, build the resources and facilitate the programmes. We integrate the company's staff, cultural values and day-to-day work into the programme design.

WHO DOES IT SUIT?

Typically, three types of companies or organisations work with us:

  1. If you have an ad-hoc work experience for teenagers and you want to streamline it with structure so that the teenagers get a consistent, tailored experience that they will remember long into their early careers.

2. If you want to expand the reach of your company's or industry's potential talent pool. Over they years, we have worked with organisations to encourage more people from the regions to apply for city-centric workplaces, more girls into STEM, more international students to feel "at home" in workplace environments, more people to consider apprenticeships as well as diversify access to include more socio-economic backgrounds.

3. If your HR department wants to establish a really impactful programme for young people as "today's teenagers are tomorrow's talent".

"I'd like to thank you for an incredible week of work experience that I won't be forgetting soon. I know that some of the information you provided us is truly invaluable and I greatly appreciate the opportunity to learn from someone with so much experience and wisdom."

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?

1. Engage meaningfully with a future talent pipeline

When students join an engaging experience that challenges, inspires, rewards, and challenges them, they could potentially become tomorrow's company ambassadors and future job applicants. The programme also gives you an opportunity to showcase your company's culture and values, contributing to positive brand exposure among potential future talents.

2. Offer your staff the opportunity for their loved ones to join

Many parents find it difficult to source interesting, relevant and available Work Experience programmes for their own teenagers or related loved ones. You can turn their problem into a great opportunity for them.

3. Help the next generation build employable skills

All of our Work Experience programmes focus on equipping students with practical, real-life skills that in turn, boosts their own employability.
