SCHOOL ROADSHOW

WHAT IS IT?

The School Roadshow is a dynamic outreach initiative between companies and schools that aims to promote financial literacy and STEM among TY students in Ireland. This initiative collaborates with companies who are interested in sponsoring class sets of "Money Matters" and "Engineering in the World".

"Money Matters" is a ready-to-go learning package offering an opportunity for TY Students to learn fundamental life skills relating to financial literacy. "Money Matters" will help students to learn about saving, investing, enterprise and general money management. Meanwhile, "Engineering in the World" offers an opportunity for TY students to learn fundamental life skills relating to the world of STEM. The book helps students to recognise engineering in everyday life, learn how engineering solves common problems and explore the exciting variety of careers open to engineers.

The programme takes place in sponsored schools, where volunteers from the sponsoring companies engage with students for a full day of active learning. Through a series of engaging activities, students have the opportunity to explore various aspects of personal finance or STEM. During the outreach day, students will actively participate in hands-on activities, discussions and games all designed to enhance their understanding of financial or STEM concepts. The Money Matters and Engineering in the World books serve as a valuable resource, guiding students through practical exercises and providing a framework for their active learning experiences

WHO DOES IT SUIT?

Are you a company or organisation who values education and believes in fostering financial literacy and STEM skills among young students in Ireland? If so, the School Roadshow could be the perfect fit for your company or organisation!

By sponsoring class sets of "Money Matters" and "Engineering in the World", you will not only be supporting educational initiatives but also gaining exposure to a demographic eager to learn about these crucial subjects.

Ideal clients for this initiative are companies passionate about making a positive impact in their communities and investing in the future by empowering students with essential life skills. If your company aligns with these values and is eager to engage with students through hands-on activities and discussions, then the School Roadshow presents an excellent opportunity for collaboration.

2. Build meaningful relationships with the school: Your company and staff can build relationships with schools through organising fun and engaging sessions with their students.
